۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 we had no power over you; but you yourselves were a rebellious people. 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits, and they shall be highly honored, 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 on couches facing each other. 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 who was wont to ask [me,] 'Why - art thou really one of those who believe it to be true 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 He looked down and saw (his friend) in the midst of Hell. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 But then, [O my friends in paradise,] is it [really] so that we are not to die 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 for, behold, it is a tree that grows in the very heart of the blazing fire [of hell,] 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 And verily they must eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
