۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 (They will be told), "You will certainly suffer the painful torment 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 Clear, delicious to drink, 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 And verily they must eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 They can only return to hell. 68 They indeed found their fathers astray, 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers); 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
