1/2 Hizb 45

۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 Cups of wine will be presented to them in rounds, from a spring flowing in front of them. 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 “So are we never to die?” (The people of Paradise will ask the angels, with delight, after the announcement of everlasting life.) 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 yet before them most of the ancients went astray, 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
