1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 We seduced you astray; verily we were ourselves the seduced ones. 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 In gardens of pleasure 43 facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be recompensed?" 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 What, do we then not die 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path; 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 And certainly most of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 See how terrible was the end of those who were warned. 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74
