1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 (They say so although) he brought the Truth and confirmed the veracity of the Messengers. 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 upon couches, set face to face, 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 One of them speaks thus: "Behold, I had [on earth] a close companion 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies). 67 Then most surely their return shall be to hell. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
