۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 besides God, and show them the way of hell. 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 "And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers). 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 Verily, thus shall We deal with all who were lost in sin: 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 on couches facing each other. 44 Round will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain, 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be recompensed?" 53 (The man) said: "Will you look down?" 54 He looked down and saw (his friend) in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 for, behold, it is a tree that grows in the very heart of the blazing fire [of hell,] 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 They found their father going astray 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
