۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 Nay, but this day they make full submission. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 "Is it (the case) that we shall not die, 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 Which We have reserved as punishment for evil-doers? 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 And verily they must eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 and We had sent among them Messengers to warn them. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74
