1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement, 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 So one among them turns to the other, questioning. 50 One of them speaks thus: "Behold, I had [on earth] a close companion 51 “Who used to tell me, ‘Do you believe it is true?’ 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 Are we then not to die 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is this better or the tree of Zaqqum 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 They found their father going astray 69 So they in their footsteps are rushing. 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
