۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 [To which] the others will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were bereft of all faith! 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 'No indeed; but he brought the truth, and confirmed the Envoys. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 There shall be no trouble in it, nor shall they be exhausted therewith. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth), 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 'By God', he said, 'you had almost ruined me. 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 They will eat and fill their bellies with it, 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
