And indeed Nooh prayed to Us – so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
