3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
