And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
