3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
