And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
