3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
