And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
