3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
