Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
