3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
