And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
