3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
