Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
