3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
