3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
