3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
