3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
