And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night.
