We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
