Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
