We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And Elias (El Yaseen) was among the Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night.
