And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
