And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
