We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
