Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
