And, indeed We gave Our Grace to Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron). 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
