We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!' 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 "What! You worship Baal and leave the Best Creator?" - 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left him for posterity. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
