We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
