We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
