And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
