We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
