We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
