Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
