We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
