And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
