Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
