Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
