We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
