We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
