We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
