And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
